Listened to this book on tape on a road trip with my teenage grandchildren and we all loved it. It deals with very heavy issues with humor and a few shocks. It deals with bullying, death, violence, addiction, discrimination, friendship, hope, love and much more. A real winner!
A Civil Action
This was a real page turner for the majority of the book. Near the end it stalled a little. So instead of 5 stars I give it a 4.5 especially since it is about real life and very relevant to today's corporate pillage of our world!
Bel Canto
This is a story of our humanity even in extreme circumstances. The writing pulls you in and though you long for a happy ending, you really don't want it to end! Pretty much like the characters in the story.

For some reason I could not get into this book and put it down for awhile. I heard such good things about it that I started it over and I am so glad I did!!! It is fabulous. It is not to be hurried through. It is to be savoured at leasure for it is full of insightful observations and heart wrenching family relationships.
